S.T.A.R. Ambassadors

Supporting Transition, Achievement, and Retention (S.T.A.R.) Ambassadors assist New Student Programs and the Office of Student Affairs through numerous new student programs including, but not limited to, welcoming incoming students to Borough of Manhattan Community College through GPS orientation, Family Orientation, In-person registration, First Year Experience workshops, and New Student Assembly events.

S.T.A.R. Ambassadors are student-employees hired by New Student Programs as College Assistants. Students hired make $15 per hour and all students who serve as S.T.A.R. Ambassadors are eligible for co-curricular transcript credit. Recruitment for S.T.A.R. Ambassador positions take place every spring.
