Proposal Preparation

Many private funders and public agencies offer a guidance on developing proposals which are tailored to the specific requirements of their organization. The preparation of any grant proposal can be quite an undertaking, so we encourage you to plan ahead and familiarize yourself with the unique requirements of each sponsor. Contacting the intended funding source and speaking to a program officer about specific grant proposal instructions, guidelines, and/or requirements will greatly enhance your chances of successfully securing sponsorship. The Office of Sponsored Programs has compiled the following list of proposal writing guides as starting point for grant writers.

I. Proposal Writing

II. Evaluation

Nearly all proposals now request the proposal writer to address how the research, project, or program will be evaluated. Listed below are online resources that can be referenced to assist in determining the best methods to evaluate your project.
