Auchincloss Foundation: Human Services Grants

The foundation has two types of grants: foundation grants and discretionary awards. The foundation grants are by application. The discretionary awards are by nomination only. Please read the information below in detail to familiarize yourself with the foundation's grant types, cycles and deadlines. HUMAN SERVICES GRANTS The human services cycle is open to organizations whose mission and programs serve New York City residents for prevention, change, and education for the improvement of their quality of life. Once you have determined that your organization meets these requirements please read the instructions, which will better prepare you for the application process. In these instructions you will be able to view sample applications for foundation grants and discretionary awards as well. For the arts, the foundation supports the visual arts, theater, music, and arts education. The foundation does not support dance at this time. For environmental, the foundation supports the preservation of the history of New York City, parks, gardens, and environmental education. For human services, the foundation supports programs for New York City residents for prevention, change, and education for the improvement of their quality of life. The foundation does not support research projects, mental health programs, medical services, hospitals, nursing homes, substance abuse programs, universities, or schools (public, private or charter schools). For educational organizations, apply under one of the other categories based on the organization's mission and program content.
