Global Development and Population Program

Deadline Date:

Deadline: Open

Agency:

Hewlett Foundation
Scope: The Global Development and Population Program makes grants to improve the well-being of vulnerable populations, in part through addressing the determinants and consequences of rapid population growth. The areas of focus include the promotion of transparent, accountable governance, particularly to improve social service delivery; high quality education, family planning and reproductive health; and sound, evidence-based policies. Whenever appropriate, the grantmaking reflects an understanding of the relationship between population growth and other demographic change and key development outcomes. While focusing the majority of grantmaking on social and economic challenges in low- and middle-income countries, the Program also supports access to quality family planning and reproductive health services in the United States. No deadlines for submitting Letters of Inquiry. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.
